AFE's Magnum Force Air Intakes automatically advances your vehicle's acceleration and increases airflow through your engine when you install an AFE Intake. Each AFE Intake has been tailored to obtain maximized performance from your vehicle. There are two different AFE Intake stages to choose from for different levels of performance. STAGE 1: Advanced Flow Engineerings stage 1 air intake will improve airflow by 50% and will show gains up to 15 more horsepower. It is also a covered style that provides a custom appearance while blocking engine heat and directing extra cold air to the air filter. STAGE 2: AFEs Stage 2 intake system replaces the entire original air system making it thee most efficient intake system on the market today. Stage 2 Air Intake System: will show gains of up to 50 Horsepower and add a 114 Ft Lbs. of torque. That is a 75% increase in airflow on most applications. The Stage 2 air intake system replaces the entire OE air intake system, and seals against the hood. Both stage 1 and stage 2 have a largeer surface area with 360-degree radial flow filters. This increased area reduces filter face velocity that allows more air to enter the engine, which increases engine performance. Pro-Guard 7 premium air filter is available for diesel models only. The Pro-Guard 7 is a progressively finer 5-layer medical grade cotton gauze filter with an extra 2 layers of non-woven synthetic polyester fabric that has random porosity, which gives you that higher performance airflow with the filtration efficiency of a heavy-duty filter.
